Dr. Tobias E. LaGrone is the Senior Pastor of Soul House Christian Fellowship, Greensboro, NC, and he expresses his passion for ministry through his preaching, teaching, writings, and counseling. Dr. LaGrone is a Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapist, Purpose-Centered Professional Development Coach, and Addictions Psycho-therapist in private practice in Greensboro, NC.
He accepted his call to preach at the age of 17 years old and began Pastoring at 19 years of age. He has over 30 years of Pastoral experience. He is married to Patricia Wade Freeman LaGrone of Guntown, MS, they have been married for 25 years and they have one child, 19 years old, Tabrea LaGrone. He is the eldest of three children, born to Mr. John Thomas LaGrone and the late Margaret Dean Fields LaGrone, at the Chickasaw County Hospital in Okolona, Mississippi. He is very close to his God sent Step-Mother, Mrs. Mary LaGrone. Dr. LaGrone has one brother, Rev. Reginald LaGrone (Atlanta, GA.) and one sister, Tasha LaGrone Eckford (Aberdeen, MS.)
He holds a Bachelors of Art in Political Science from Jackson State Univ., Jackson, MS, and both the Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Memphis Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and a 32nd Degree Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret. In conclusion, Dr. LaGrone states favorite scripture is; Romans 8: 28And we know that in all things God works for the good to those who love Him, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
